On February 29th, 2024, TikToker[1] @legendaryjay_ posted a video that was an anime-themed edit called "When you win UNO." Over five days, the video received roughly 132.9 million plays and 19.5 million likes (shown below).
Spread
After the video's upload and virality, others on the app posted content that referenced it, like TikToker[2] @simon_sz101 on March 3rd, 2024, who compared the edit to the "Bowl of Chocolate Strawberries" video, receiving over 1.2 million plays and 128,500 likes in two days (shown below, left). On March 4th, 2024, TikToker[3] @brandonspam_ posted a video about the Uno edit, emphasizing the campaign to make it the most-liked video in TikTok history, receiving over 2.3 million plays and 114,600 likes in a day (shown below, right).
More humorous content about the video also surfaced, like one video shared by TikToker[4] @niro_x1 on March 4th, 2024, that powerscaled the Uno edit with the "Bowl of Chocolate Strawberries" video, gaining over 1 million plays and 90,800 likes in a day (shown below).
