About

That FROOT Looks Familiar is a catchphrase originally coined by singer Marina and the Diamonds in 2016. After British pop star Charli XCX posted an ad for a fragrance campaign on her Instagram page in March 2016, Marina seemingly accused her of copying visuals from her own 2015 album campaign, writing, "That FROOT looks familiar," and tweeting, "Imagery is artistic property. Please respect your fellow artists." The phrase "That FROOT looks familiar" has since come to be used on Stan Twitter to joke about mimicry.
