The user continued to post memes about Tfue's high taper fade, which went viral that October, inspiring a surge in Tfue high taper fade memes. Many of the memes pretend that Tfue's high taper fade was a huge meme in 2024, similar to Ninja's low taper fade.

On June 2nd, 2024, TikToker^[1] @hpf.an posted a video of an image macro set to the "Imagine if Ninja got a low taper fade" song, captioned, "Imagine if Tfue got a high taper fade," garnering around 12,900 views in four months. On June 3rd he posted a similar video to TikTok^[2] featuring a different caption, garnering over 30,000 views in the same span of time.

Later that same day, the same TikToker^[3] posted a third video, this time set to an edit of the "low taper fade" song in which the lyrics have been altered to, "Imagine if Tfue got a high taper fade," garnering over 46,000 views in the same rough span of time. These are the earliest known memes about Tfue's high taper fade.

The TikToker @hpf.an continued to post videos following the meme over the next few months. On October 21st, 2024, they posted a video to TikTok^[4] that garnered over 200,000 views in three days, marking the first Tfue high taper fade meme to hit over 100,000 views.

On October 22nd, the TikToker^[5] posted a video following the meme in which he declared that Tfue is dragging the high taper fade meme, garnering over 2.3 million views in two days. The meme uses clips from a 2018 FaZe Clan YouTube^[6] video in which he wins a game of Fortnite while getting a haircut.

The meme saw a surge in popularity over the following days. On October 23rd, TikToker^[7] @anglapoo posted a video using AI to make it appear as if Tfue is dragging out the high taper fade meme, garnering over 216,000 views in a day.

Also on October 23rd, 2024, TikToker^[8] @factsfc posted a video set to Fortnite footage in which a TTS voiceover explains the made-up history of the meme and how Tfue is purportedly dragging it, garnering over 178,000 views in a day.
