The Tex Johnson Airport Freakout Video, also known as I'm Being Treated Like a Black Person Right Now, refers to a viral video of a public freakout, showing Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BBJ) practitioner Aaron "Tex" Johnson getting kicked off of a Southwest airplane and then being wheeled through the Laguardia Airport in New York City on a stretcher while shouting, "I'm being treated like a Black person right now!" Johnson's appearance includes a grey Under Armor shirt, black glasses, a neck tattoo, short black hair and a mustache.
The original video was shared on TikTok by TikToker @mrskk0404 in late July 2025. The other video of Johnson's "crashout," depicting him being wheeled through the airport, was shared by the TikTok account @realbjjnews. The moment earned numerous viral reposts on other social media sites like Twitter / X and Reddit over the following days.
Origin
On July 21st, 2025, TikToker[1] @mrskk0404 posted a video from a Southwest airplane taking off from Laguardia Airport in New York City. In the video, a man in a grey Under Armor shirt is seen being kicked off the plane. His appearance includes glasses, short hair, a mustache and a large neck tattoo. The nearly two and a half minute-long video received over 13,800 likes in three days (shown below).
On July 22nd, TikToker[2] @peepeepoopoosmap posted another video documenting the same incident, showing the man being wheeled through the airport on a stretcher and shouting, "I'm being treated like a Black person right now!" The video's caption read, "My boy in the airport tweaking." It received over 10.6 million plays and 2.1 million likes in two days (X[10] repost shown below).
On July 23rd, 2025, TikToker[4] @realbjjnews identified the man as Aaron "Tex" Johnson, a Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BBJ) practitioner, who posts to Instagram[5] at @tex_bjj. The claim was corroborated by the Daily Mail,[3] which compared the hand tattoos on the man in the video with the tattoos of Johnson's.

On July 23rd, 2025, X[6] user @B1TuckerCarlson reposted the original video of Tex Johnson on the airplane, captioning it, "Welcome to the no fly list," gaining over 45,000 likes in a day (shown below).
Soon after, on July 23rd, X[7] user @JUSTcatmeme reposted the video of Johnson shouting, "I'm being treated like a Black person right now," captioning it, "Has a new king of flying arrived?" X[8] users in the replies interpreted the tweet as a reference to the JetBlue Racist Burger King video. In a day, the tweet gained over 14,000 likes (shown below).
Also on July 23rd, 2025, Redditor Outrageous_File5321 reposted the video to the /r/AirRagers[9] subreddit, gaining over 2,800 upvotes in a day. It was then posted to the /r/PublicFreakout[11] sub that same day, receiving over 1,000 upvotes and 100 comments in a similar timeframe.
