Tell Me Something I Don't Know refers to jokes made in response to a selfie tweeted by Paris Hilton with the caption. Twitter users joked about the tweet by responding to it with various esoteric facts.

Origin

On June 28th, 2018, Paris Hilton tweeted a selfie with the caption "Tell me something I don't know."^[1] The tweet gained over 1,600 retweets and 13,000 likes. It also gained over 13,000 responses, many from Twitter users writing obscure facts.

Spread

After the tweet was posted, Twitter users began responding to it by "telling" Hilton obscure facts. Actor Jesse Heiman tweeted a picture of himself and Heiman, gaining over 840 retweets and 13,000 likes (shown below, left). Another tweet by user @TheGingerarchy tweeted "Hippos have pink sweat," gaining over 790 retweets and 6,100 likes (shown below, right).

Celebrities helped spread the meme after the initial spread of jokes. For example, Tyra Banks tweeted praise towards Paris Hilton, gaining over 450 retweets (shown below, left). Butch Hartman tweeted a fact about Timmy Turner's design from Fairly Oddparents, gaining over 212,000 retweets and 805,000 likes (shown below, right). The spread of the jokes was covered by Bustle^[2] and Uproxx.^[3]
