Telekinesis Couple refers to a viral video posted by social media influencer and content creator Breezethecreative in which he and a female partner supposedly demonstrate their powers of telekinesis by making tinfoil move with a wave of their hand, usually with a forceful swiping or pushing motion that doesn't make contact with the aluminum foil. The video, first posted in August 2024, went viral in September 2024, with many commenters claiming the couple was delusional and were making the tinfoil move by creating wind with their hands.

Origin

Breezethecreative[1] began posting on Instagram in April 2024 and claimed to have "air-bending" powers with which he could manipulate the movement of objects. On July 26th, 2024, he posted his first video with his "twin flame," a woman he claimed he was training in the art of telekinesis. In the video, the pair forcefully gesture at a piece of tinfoil, causing the tinfoil to move.


On August 2nd, he posted a video that would later go viral, showing "day 3" of the training. The video gained over 29,000 likes on Instagram in six weeks.

Videos from breezethecreative and his "twin flame" began attracting jokes and commentary elsewhere on social media. For example, on August 20th, 2024, TikToker[2] depressiondotgov duetted one of their videos, joking about how it appeared they were simply causing objects to move by creating small gusts of wind with their hands. The video gained over 20,000 likes in one month.

On September 16th, 2024, Twitter / X user @mamaztheguru[3] reposted one of the couple's videos, gaining over 28,000 retweets and 357,000 likes in one day.


The post led to myriad jokes on Twitter in which people commented that they believed the couple were "delusional" or joked about how they tried something similar when they were children. Others remarked how it was oddly inspiring that despite the couple's apparent delusions, they still appeared happy together.

One post by Twitter user @hiiipriestesss[4] on September 16th, 2024, highlighted some of the top Instagram comments on the video, which featured jokes about the couple, gaining over 60 retweets and 2,700 likes in one day.
