Tall Yoda refers to a number of photoshops of the character Yoda from Star Wars edited to look abnormally tall, giving him an uncanny appearance in contrast to his usual short stature. It also refers to tall people in Yoda costumes. The photoshops began after a glitch from 2017's Star Wars: Battlefront II that made Yoda look tall was discovered.
Origin
One of the earliest available images of a tall Yoda was uploaded to iStock[1] on August 5th, 2017, and shows a person in a Yoda costume at Edinburgh Festival Fringe (shown below).
Tall Yoda Glitch
On May 5th, 2018, YouTuber[2] Rogue Manda uploaded a video activating a glitch in the video game Star Wars: Battlefront II where Yoda's character model distorts and makes him appear tall, gaining over 1,500 views in three years (shown below).

On June 21st, 2019, YouTuber Jake Hatfield uploaded an animation titled "tall LEGO Yoda hours" showing a tall Lego Yoda dancing in various settings gaining over 18,000 views in two years (shown below).
On December 7th, 2019, Redditor the__pd posted an image to /r/StarWarsBattlefront[3] showing off the tall Yoda glitch, captioned "Tall Yoda haunts my nightmares," gaining over 270 upvotes in two years (shown below).
On January 24th, 2020, YouTuber[4] Lego Yoda posted a video titled "Hmmm cut of genitals of genitals of minorities tall yoda must hmmmmmm" showing atall LEGO Yoda dancing over an ironic meme caption, gaining over 2,200 views in just under two years (shown below).
Tall Yoda Walking With Obi-Wan
On May 10th, 2020, Redditor Timtanium707 posted a photoshop from a Star Wars prequel film to /r/PrequelMemes[5] editing Yoda to look large and Obi-Wan to look short, gaining over 26,800 upvotes in a year and a half (shown below).
On July 7th, Instagram[6] page jokezar posted a labeled version of the image cropping it only to show Yoda and Obi-Wan, gaining over 73,000 likes in roughly a year and a half (shown below, left). On July 12th, Redditor cyfly69 posted a meme using the image to /r/dankmemes[7] using tall Yoda to illustrate a big brother and small Obi-Wan a little brother, gaining over 33,000 upvotes in the same rough span of time (shown below, right).

On July 28th, 2021, YouTuber Janobot uploaded a video to YouTube titled "Yoda But He Is Tall" editing a Star Wars scene to show Yoda but tall, gaining over 660,000 views in four months (shown below).
