Taken 3 Fence Jump, also known as Bryan Mills Jumps A Fence, is a viral video and scene from the film Taken 3 depicting actor Liam Neeson jumping over a chainlink fence that received attention from filmmakers and enthusiasts for its unusually rapid editing between different angles. Since the scene was isolated and uploaded to YouTube in 2015, where it's used as the source of multiple re-edits and remixes.

Origin

Taken 3, the third film in the Taken series, was released in the United States on January 9th, 2015.[5] The film, directed by Olivier Megaton and edited by Audrey Simonaud and Nicolas Trembasiewicz, follows Bryan Mills (played by Liam Neeson) as he is framed for the murder of his ex-wife and must escape both cops and criminals chasing him.

At one point in the film, Mills jumps over a fence as he is running away from an attack dog. The six-second scene, which contains 14 edits between camera angles for a total of 15 shots, was uploaded to YouTube[1] on January 24, 2015, by Youtuber MartialArtsFights. As of 2021, the video (below) has over 3.2 million views.

In February 2016, the video was posted to /r/movies,[2] gaining over 20,000 upvotes as of 2021. The Independent[3] wrote an article on the video as a result of its Reddit popularity. In July 2017, the film's stunt coordinator, Haruka Chambers, shot a video (below) where he explained the production of the scene.

The video gradually became a source for remixes and edits. On May 5th, 2020, YouTuber Beeziee[4] posted a version of the scene where each cut has a scene transition from the Austin Powers films. The video (below) gained over 34,000 views in a year.
