Lil Yachty Took The Wock To Poland is a catchphrase used in memes based on a Lil Yachty line said in his 2022 rap song "Poland." The line "I Took The Woooooooooock To Poland" from the track is also used as a viral sound meme on TikTok, as well as Lil Yachty's face being used as an exploitable in various image caption memes.

Origin

On October 4th, 2022, Lil Yachty uploaded the track "Poland" to his SoundCloud, which was hyped up for months as part of the collaboration between Yachty and musical artist F1LTHY. The sound was quickly ripped from SoundCloud and used on TikTok by TikToker realeaterforever^[1] as a way to get the audio sample on the platform, with his video (including the caption "I took the wockkk to Poland") getting over 82,000 likes in 19 hours (shown below).

In roughly 24 hours, the song and original sound on TikTok^[4] had accumulated nearly 1,000 videos.

Spread

The song also rapidly spread to other social media platforms in early October 2022. On Twitter, people began to tweet Yachty's chorus line with various pictures of characters on boats or facing great troubles as the trial and tribulations Yachty faced while he was on his way to Poland. This can be seen in a tweet by @ech0astral^[2] on October 4th, 2022, in which a picture of Godfrey, the first Elden Lord from Elden Ring, is said to be Yachty as he took the Wock to Poland, gaining over 10,000 likes in one day (shown below).

The following day, on October 5th, Twitter user @Cozyytapez^[3] then uploaded a photo of George Washington's famous crossing of the Delaware river and used that as an example of Lil Yachty taking the wock to Poland, helping to cement the catchphrase and image caption combo as many others soon followed in posting their own examples (shown below).
