Origin

The earliest known video following the "Take Off My Clothes" trend is an October 25th, 2023, video posted by Instagram[1] users @nikovaldes and @cristalallure. The video begins with the two in bed, with Cristal asking Niko, "Babe, take off my clothes," and Niko refusing by saying, "Babe, I'm so tired I've had a long day." Cristal insists that Niko should "take off" her clothes, and Niko gets up in a huff, revealing that he is wearing a frilly pink top.

The video gathered over 1.9 million likes in two years.

The trend lay dormant until June 14th, 2025, with TikToker[3] @abbyys.spammmm posted a video repeatedly asking her boyfriend to "take my clothes off." The video ends with him getting out of bed and revealing that he is wearing her pink dress. The video gathered over 30 million plays and 6 million likes in three weeks.

On June 22nd, TikToker[4] @themorrisfamily3_ posted a video participating in the trend and gathering over 22 million views and 5 million likes in a week.

On July 1st, 2025, American pop star Madonna posted a video participating in the trend on her TikTok[5] @madonna, gathering over 1.2 million plays and 80,000 likes in a day.
