Most notably, the original sound became popularized through a dance and lip dub trend where performers use their hands to visually represent the lyrics of the song.

On February 21st, 2022, YouTuber[1] qkumo posted a sped-up version of Miguel's song "Sure Thing," garnering over 8.9 million views in a year (shown below).
Sure Thing TikTok Dance Trend
On November 22nd, 2022, TikToker[2] @tr0picaudios posted a cut of the sped-up version of "Sure Thing," starting at the lyrics "If you be the cash, I'll be the rubber band," garnering over 7 million views in two months. On December 25th, TikToker[3] @yeslydimate posted a video where she lip dubs to the song while visually representing the lyrics with her hands then dancing, garnering over 18.9 million views in two weeks (shown below).

The original sound for @tr0picaudios' video became notably popular over the following months, inspiring over 666,000 uses by mid-January 2023. The majority of the most popular videos follow @yeslydimate's dance trend. For example, on January 4th, 2023, TikTokers[4][5] @ohwoah__ and @sadieemckennaa posted videos doing the trend, garnering over 15.4 million and 11.2 million views respectively in a week (shown below, left and right).
On January 8th, TikToker @ireneagathaa posted a video tutorial on how to follow the trend, garnering over 500,000 views in three days (shown below).
