Super Horny / Explaining is a Ship Dynamic that shows a pink cartoon woman bending at her knees, labeled as "Super Horny," while a blue male character is "Explaining" something that's directly causing her arousal. After it was drawn and uploaded to Twitter in mid-2022, it became an exploitable meme template and recaption trend in which creators replaced what the male character was explaining.

Origin

On July 29th, 2022, Twitter^[1] user jkjrrated tweeted an OC ship dynamic, showing a pink, female character being "Super Horny" while a blue male character is "Explaining Fortnite." Over the course of four weeks, the tweet received roughly 1,500 likes (shown below).

Spread

On August 2nd, 2022, Twitter^[2] user Delaxiox tweeted an exploited variant of the original ship dynamic that instead referenced "savage raids" from Final Fantasy XIV. The tweet received roughly 1,500 likes in three weeks (shown below, left). On August 3rd, 2022, Twitter^[3] user PlanetaTamara posted an iteration about Digimon, earning roughly 3,100 likes in three weeks. Later on August 3rd, Twitter^[4] user cars_frases tweeted an iteration about "Explaining Cars," earning roughly 23,700 likes in three weeks (shown below, right).

The iterations on Twitter became more exploited continuing into August 2022. For instance, on August 5th, Twitter^[5] user Bat_wittero added communist signifiers to the blue male character, making him red-colored and Soviet. The meme received roughly 7,100 likes in three weeks (shown below, left). On August 6th, 2022, Redditor capnbuffalo posted a more meta iteration about submarines to /r/okbuddyretard, ^[6] earning roughly 1,700 upvotes in three weeks (shown below, right). The first variation posted to Reddit^[7] happened four days prior on August 2nd.

In early August 2022, variations also surfaced on Instagram ^[8] and iFunny. ^[9] For instance, on August 4th, 2022, iFunnyer^[10] HistorythroughmemesI posted a variation that was a video, showing the male character explaining the Japanese TV show Abunai-Deka with the show's music playing. The meme received over 320 smiles in three weeks (shown below).
