Throne and Liberty is an MMORPG created by the company NCSoft, publisher of the critically acclaimed title Guild Wars 2, and published by Amazon Games. The game, after being delayed by over a decade of development changes, was released into early access on September 26th, 2024.

History

Originally intended as part of the Lineage franchise, Throne and Liberty was given an official release date trailer on June 18th, 2024, uploaded to YouTube by the official IGN^[1] channel. In the channel, the premise of the game, of the player character battling to defend the world of Solisium by teaming up with friends. The trailer, which received over 250,000 views in three months, with many fans of Lineage commenting on the large-scale PvP (shown below).

Online Presence

After the game's beta test had concluded, content creators started to make videos about the game, dissecting the various classes that can be found in it and detailing what they're about and the best ways to build them. On September 4th, 2024, the YouTuber^[2] and content creator NellyJail uploaded a video in which he goes over the traditional archetypes in MMOs, which gained over 70,000 views in three weeks (shown below).

In the lead-up to the game, buzz began to swarm about the different early access packs and deluxe editions that come with the game, allowing players to play the game five days ahead of the official global launch. On September 25th, 2024, the official IGN^[3] TikTok account uploaded a TikTok in which they go over the different bonuses available, which earned over 20,000 views in one day (shown below).
