About
The Loud House is a 2016 American animated comedy television series created by Chris Savino for Nickelodeon. The show follows the adventures of Lincoln Loud, a boy who must survive living in a large family.
Premise
The Loud House centers on Lincoln Loud, an 11-year-old boy who is both the middle child and only boy in his large family comprised of ten sisters. Episodes typically involve Lincoln breaking the fourth wall to talk to the viewer about the chaotic conditions of the household he has to live with.
History
Savino worked various different roles in several other cartoon shows. Savino started his career in 1991 on The Ren & Stimpy Shows. One of his most significant roles in recent television is in Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil as executive producer.[7]
Chris Savino's original pitch for the loud house had a family of bunnies, until this was changed in the middle of development. Savino has also revealed that the premise of the loud house is reminiscent of his childhood dealing with ten siblings.[14]
Prior to being a show, The Loud House was initially Savino's original mini comic strip that first made its appearance to the public in San Diego Comic Con 2016. He made a two minute pilot showcase.
The show premiered on May 2nd, 2016 with its first back-to-back 11-minute episodes Left in The Dark and Get the Message.[1] The show has been green lit for a second season.
Chris Savino Sexual Harassment Claims
On October 17th, 2017, Cartoon Brew[15] reported that the show's creator, Chris Savino, had been suspended from the show the previous week after over a dozen women had filed sexual harassment complaints against him in the course of a decade, ranging from unwanted sexual advances to threats of blacklisting women from the industry after they'd ended consensual relationships with him. In a statement to the site, Nickelodeon said:
"Viacom is committed to the safety and well-being of our employees, and to fostering a workplace free from harassment. As a matter of policy, we do not comment on specific employee matters, but we take all allegations of this nature very seriously, investigate them thoroughly and take any necessary actions as a result."
One testimony given by an anonymous source about Savino's behavior reads:
This took place about 4 years ago. Chris [Savino] was working with the development program at Nickelodeon. A woman close to me had a project that was being developed under his supervision. He got her personal contact information under the guise of "helping her develop the project off hours." He presented himself as a mentor. He then proceeded to send her unwanted text messages that were lewd and sexual in nature on more than one occasion. When she turned down his advances, her development project was let go. He is a classic case of a predatory male using his status and power over a female subordinate. As with most victims, she was worried of how speaking out against him would affect her career and no action was ever taken.
On October 18th, YouTuber Vailskibum94 released a video talking about the suspension and the harassment claims (shown below).
Reception
The Loud House has received positive reviews. IMDB gave the show a score of 8/10[9] and Common Sense Media rated the show 4/5[10] stars. The show's often remarked well on its art styles for both character designs and background layout that is reminiscent of classic comic strips like Peanuts. Loud House is also praised for its charming and endearing -- albeit arguably one-dimensional -- large main cast. Furthermore, online fans frequently discuss the show as one of Nickelodeon's finer works after a long run of comparatively lackluster titles.
Film
On March 28, 2017, Paramount's motion picture president Marc Evans announced a movie based on the series set for release on February 7, 2020.
Online Relevance

Have a Heart, Do Your Part
"Have a Heart, Do Your Part." is an exploitable where Lincoln is seen holding up a poster with a slogan encouraging readers to be more sympathetic. Originally a picture of a baby polar bear is above the slogan. It is replaced by another image of something that one may consider worth protecting. The screenshot is taken from the 11th episode of the first season The Loud House.
