Slay The Spire is a roguelike deck-building video game developed by Mega Crit Games and published by Humble Bundle. Over the years it has gained a large and dedicated fanbase and modding community.

History

Development for Slay The Spire happened as early as 2015. The initial goal was to develop a roguelike game with deck-building games like Dominion.^[1] The game was also inspired by games including the Netrunner collectible card game, experts in which were used as playtesters for Slay The Spire^[1]. The game ended up releasing on Windows, macOS, and Linux on January 23, 2019.
