Gameplay and Features

In R.E.P.O., a group of up to six players are robotic beings tasked with exploring abandoned locations and retrieving any valuables found in them. The locations are patrolled by aggressive monstrous beings able to dispatch players with ease, with the core gameplay revolving around avoiding monsters and hiding from them rather than attacking them head on.

The players work for an intelligent AI known as the Taxman, represented by a cursed version of the Tears of Joy emoji. Between levels, players can purchase additional equipment and upgrade their stats.

The game features a proximity chat, meaning that players can't communicate if they stray away too far from each other, and risk being heard by the monsters.
