PewDiePie's Minecraft Let's Play is a YouTube Minecraft let's play series by PewDiePie. The series spawned popularized several characters such as dog Sven and horse Joergen and spawned a number of memes among the PewDiePie viewers.

History

On June 21st, 2019, YouTuber PewDiePie uploaded episode one of his Minecraft let's play series titled "Minecraft Part 1", naming his realm "Broland."^[1] The episode received over 19.2 million views in one month (shown below).

In the following weeks, PewDiePie posted more episodes of the playthrough, with the episode count reaching 21 as of July 22nd, 2019.^[2]

The series spawned a number of memes in the PewDiePie fandom, as well as popularized a number of characters from the series. These include PewDiePie's Minecraft dog Sven, his horse Joergen, Water Sheep and Ikea Tower.

Joergen

Joergen (later Joergen #2) is a horse found and tamed by PewDiePie in episode three of the series. After Jorgen's accidental death in episode five, PewDiePie tamed a similar horse, naming it Joergen #2.

In episode 15 of the series, Joergen #2 went missing until it was found by PewDiePie in the following episode.

Since its introduction in the series, the character has appeared in multiple memes and fan art, with Joergen going missing and making PewDiePie search for him being a popular reference.

On July 25th, 2019, PewDiePie accidentally killed Joergen #2 by letting the horse ride a redstone-powered rail track down his mine.

Sven

Sven is a dog found and tamed by PewDiePie in episode seven of the series. The character has since accompanied PewDiePie during his playthrough of the game. Additionally, PewDiePie has provided Sven with multiple gifts, including a Japanese house serving as a doghouse and a Giant Meatball.

If Sven dies, this playthrough is over!

In /r/PewdiepieSubmissions, the character has appeared in fan art and memes, with Sven having a very large health pool and surviving multiple near-death experiences being a popular reference.

Water Sheep

Water Sheep is a nickname of a Minecraft sheep stuck in a pool of water near the PewDiePie's house. Abusing and otherwise interacting with the sheep eventually became a part of PewDiePie's Minecraft routine, with the sheep becoming a popular character among the PewDiePie's viewers who posted multiple memes and fan art dedicated to it.

After accidentally killing Water Sheep during a torture session in episode 14 of the series, PewDiePie builds a memorial and a church to honor it and pretends to communicate with it in the afterlife by sacrificing various animals.

Ikea Tower

Ikea Tower is a tall Minecraft structure built by PewDiePie near his house in episode 10 of the playthrough. The building has since appeared in multiple memes in /r/PewdiepieSubmisisons subreddit.

Boat Cow

Boat Cow (also Water Cow) is the name of several cows which can be seen sitting in a boat near PewDiePie's Minecraft house. During the series, PewDiePie often milks the cow, referring to the product as "titty juice," which has seen references in memes in /r/PewdiepieSubmissions subreddit.

In episode 17 of the series, PewDiePie accidentally killed Boat Cow while trying to retrieve the boat.^[3]

Jack Black Burns PewDiePie's House

Jack Black Burns PewDiePie's House is an event that occurred during a side episode "Jack Black BURNED down my Minecraft House." In the episode, Jack Black, playing as JablinskiGames, accidentally sets fire on PewDiePie's house with Minecraft item Flint and Steel, after which the house sustains severe damage.^[4]

Pee Pee Poo Poo Army

Pee Pee Poo Poo is a name given by PewDiePie to a wild pig which he tames and rides in the episode "I've made a HUGE mistake in Minecraft." Additionally, in the episode, PewDiePie unintentionally assembles a group of ten to twenty pigs who accompany him during a part of the episode. In /r/PewdiepieSubmissions subreddit, images of PewDiePie riding Pee Pee Poo Poo among the herd have been used in multiple memes (shown below).

In the following episodes, PewDiePie bred a large amount of pigs, referring to the herd as the "army of Pee Pee Poo Poos." In part 25 "I Summoned the Wither Boss in Minecraft," the herd, turned into Zombie Pigmen via lightning strikes, has been used by PewDiePie in the fight against Minecraft boss Wither.^[7]

The Council of Sheep

The Council of Sheep refers to a group of three sheep standing on a ledge below the ceiling inside the Church of Watersheep, first shown in episode 19 "Goodbye My Minecraft Horse" of the playthrough.^[5] On several occasions, PewDiePie asks the sheep for guidance, referring to them as "the council of watersheep."

Fricking Chamber

Fricking Chamber refers to a room built by PewDiePie in episode 23 "I found AMAZING loot from FISHING in Minecraft!" to breed Villagers in order to produce librarians.^[6] The room, later decorated with pink wool and an automated feeding system, gained popularity in memes in /r/PewdiepieSubmissions subreddit, with moral implications of PewDiePie's actions towards the Villagers, imprisoned and forced to breed, often being the center of the joke.

Sven's Child

Sven's Child refers to a child of PewDiePie's dogs Sven and Sven's BF, born in episode 27 "I Tame a Fox in Minecraft."^[8]
