About
Mysillycomics is the webcomic of an artist named Claire. The comics feature a simplistic, line-drawing art style and tend to feature wholesome situations and punchlines, though this is not always the case. One of the comic's strips, titled "Celebrities Shop Too," became a popular exploitable template.
History
Mysillycomics launched on Tumblr on April 10th, 2018, posting seven comics that day[1] (examples shown below).
Over the following months, the comic developed a strong following, with its posts regularly gaining thousands of notes. One of its most popular strips, posted May 24th, 2018, introduced a stuffed character called Bohug which would go on to appear in many more comics and become a mascot for the comic.[2]
The comic's Twitter account gained over 30,000 followers in roughly nine months since its June 2018 creation.[3] Fans have joked that the comic's creator Claire bears a resemblance to Griffin McElroy in looks and humor.[4][5]
