Hot Ones is a web series by Complex Media hosted by Sean Evans, in which various celebrities are interviewed while eating spicy chicken wings that increase in hotness throughout the episode.
History
On March 12th, 2015, the first episode of Hot Ones was uploaded to the First We Feast YouTube channel, in which Evans interviews American rapper Tony Yayo (shown below).
On October 22nd, the channel released a Hot Ones video starring DJ Khaled (shown below, left). On December 3rd, an episode with Danish musician Claus Pilgaard was uploaded to the channel, in which the two men eat a Carolina Reaper pepper (shown below, right).
On April 28th, 2016, Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele were interviewed on the show (shown below, left). On August 4th, Hot Ones released an episode starring comedian Eric Andre (shown below, right).
Online Presence
On August 4th, 2016, the /r/HotOnes[3] subreddit was created for discussions about the series, which gathered more than 6,600 subscribers over the next year. On July 23rd, 2017, a page for Hot Ones was created on TV Tropes.[4]
