On July 21st, 2025, the Tesla Diner in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, opened for business. The doors opened at 4:20 p.m., a reference to the 420 meme, according to the Los Angeles Times.^[1]

On the menu, an item called "Epic Bacon" was listed, described as, "Four strips of maple-glazed black pepper bacon. Served with choice of dip." The item costs $12, according to the Tesla Diner website.^[2]

Also on July 21st, X^[3] user @teslaownersSV tweeted photos of the Tesla Diner's menu, gaining over 530 likes in two days.

Later that day, X^[4] user @hunter_hhhh quote-tweeted the aforementioned post, writing, "$12 for Epic Bacon." Over two days, the post gained roughly 7,300 likes (shown below).

The tweet gained a high view count largely due to a series of quote-tweets, starting with a post from X^[6] user @troop_hater on July 22nd, who attached an image of a Soyjak holding an Epic Bacon box, using the Soyjak Shows His Phone template. In a day, the meme gained over 5,000 likes (shown below).

On July 23rd, 2025, X^[7] user @awawawhoami quote-tweeted the same post, captioning it, "Epic Bacon at Tesla Diner." The post gained over 57,000 likes in a few hours (shown below).
