Gameplay
Dusk is heavily influenced from the 90s first person shooters with more emphasis on movement and speed and a wide variety of weapons which range from rifles and grenade launchers to a magic sword.
A unique mechanic of Dusk is the unlocked y-axis, allowing the player an additional degree of rotation whilst in midair, which grants the ability to perform front and back-flips.
Reception
The game gained overwhelmingly positive reviews from the community, considering it a nice comeback to FPS roots.
Fandom
The game has a very dedicated fanbase with the developers themselves actually embracing the memes from the fans.
It also has a page for the mods from the community on Mod.io.
It gained so much popularity that the main character was also included in a Doom mod as well:Quake Champions Doom Edition.
Big John
Big John is one of the game bosses of the game and gained notoriety for his voice lines, which are parodying the austrian actor Arnold Schwarzenegger quotes in his movies.
The character is voiced by the game producer David Oshry and has his face as well with most of his lines taken from another New Blood published game;the 2013 remake of Rise of The Triad and as Little John in Amid Evil.
