On March 18th, 2020, Twitter user @katocollier reposted Bernie Sander's grandson's TikTok (since deleted) with the caption "So apperantly Bernie’s grandson has a TikTok" (shown below). The tweet gained over 527,000 views, 46,700 likes and 7,000 retweets in a day.

Spread

On March 18th, 2020, Twitter users began responding positively to the video. Twitter user @ellomelissa^[3] tweeted, "Bernie being a grandpa pretending to be a monster to his grandkids is so good bc the dude understands world building" (shown below, left). The tweet garnered over 550 likes in a day. That same day, Twitter user @raybae689^[4] posted screenshots of the video with the caption, "Bernie Sanders' grandson seemingly made a TikTok showing the Democratic candidate being an adorable grandfather, pretending to be a monster coming down the stairs" (shown below, right).

On March 18th, Twitter user @ZornAusAeonen replied to the video by posting a Simpsons GIF which received over 650 likes in a day (shown below). That day, The Daily Dot^[2] and Insider^[1] published articles on the video.
