Sneaky Golem in the Pocket is a catchphrase about the mobile game Clash Royale, referencing the gameplay strategy of hiding a powerful "golem" card from an opponent until the end of a match. The Sneaky Golem in the Pocket meme was started by YouTuber SweatyClash in May 2025. It later spread to TikTok in mid-2025.

On May 3rd, 2025, YouTuber^[1] SweatyClash shared a Short in which he released a "sneaky golem" from his "pocket" at the end of a Clash Royale battle to claim victory. Over one month, the video received roughly 579,300 views (shown below).

In the following weeks, SweatyClash continued to post Clash Royale clips to YouTube in which he used a Sneaky Golem in the Pocket.

On May 5th, 2025, TikToker^[2] @monetized.clash reposted one of SweatyClash's videos, gaining over 217,800 likes in a month (shown below).

On May 29th, 2025, YouTuber^[8] @Quickclipss-hub shared a Sneaky Golem in the Pocket meme, using the Dean Norris' Reaction format and an initial caption reading, "Yes he's playing 2.6 but why hasn't he played his ice golem the [w]hole game." Over two weeks, the Short gained over 759,500 views (shown below).

TikToker^[2] @monetized.clash's viral repost spawned several Sneaky Golem in the Pocket memes on TikTok heading into June 2025.

For instance, on June 1st, TikToker^[3] @taart123.cr posted a video of men crying with the caption, "When your opponent plays 2.6 but there's a card missing…" Over 11 days, the video received roughly 440,000 likes (shown below).

Also on June 1st, 2025, TikToker^[4] @three.crown33 posted a video of NBA player LeBron James with the caption, "How golem performs in the pocket after being in hand the WHOLE game," gaining over 340,400 likes in 11 days (shown below).

On June 10th, TikToker^[5] @breakingzoo posted an AI video of a "Sneaky Golem post game interview," in which the character says, "I didn't even see the tower. I just felt it fall." The video amassed over 118,900 likes in two days (shown below).

During the same timeframe, Sneaky Golem in the Pocket memes spread to the /r/ClashRoyale^[6] subreddit in non-viral posts. Similar posts with low engagement surfaced on Twitter / X. ^[7]
