Small Boy. Baby. Tiny, Tiny Boy refers to a popular TikTok sound of a woman gently describing an object, usually an animal, as a "small boy," saying it "does not know anything. Does not know ABCs" before ending with "So pure." The sound is usually used with cute videos of pets napping or being otherwise calm.

Origin

On July 21st, 2020, TikTok^[1] user ceceliaisgray posted a video of their dog, saying over it, "Small boy, baby, tiny tiny boy. Does not know anything. Does not even know ABCs. Just knows be little, and nap. So pure." The video gained over 447,000 likes in three years (shown below).

Spread

Over the following three years, the sound was used in over 22,000 TikTok videos,^[2] often depicting a pet relaxing. For example, on July 31st, 2020, user ratbrained^[3] posted a video of their cat, gaining over 650,000 likes in three years (shown below, left). On March 6th, 2023, user vixbull^[4] posted a video with a puppy, gaining over 592,000 likes in two months (shown below, right).

Others have used the sound for things other than animals. It appears the sound was often used by users discussing their penises, causing ceciliaisgray to name the sound, "Stop using this to talk about your dicks you monsters."^[2] Other popular objects include characters from media franchises. On February 8th, 2021, TikToker^[5] zhongli.main used the sound with Xiao from Genshin Impact, gaining over 109,000 likes in two years (shown below, left). The following day, the TikTok^[6] account mcclurespickles posted the sound talking about its pickles, gaining over 215,000 likes in two years (shown below, right).
