Slv_Soundss refers to a YouTuber and TikToker that makes videos singing and reacting to things around him. He often accosts people wearing off-brand, battered or funny-looking shoes and sings about their footwear to roast them. A prominent sound attributed to Slv_Soundss is him singing, "Ohh, What The Hell" at a pair of knock-off Jordan shoes. The creator first went viral in 2018 for his video "Singing Outside 69" in which he witnessed what appeared to be a drug deal and also saw a disoriented man laying in some bushes while it was raining. The What the Hell catchphrase from him has since been used in numerous memes as a humorous soundbite.

Origin

On July 12th, 2018, YouTuber[1] Slv_Soundss uploaded a video titled, "Singing Outside 69." The video starts off with the creator walking out of an alley and singing as it rains. He then briefly records what appears to be a drug deal, before turning around and seeing a man, presumably drunk, laying incoherent in some bushes. Slv_Soundss and another man then attempt to help him. The video gathered over 1.6 million views in over four years (seen below).

Over the consecutive years, Slv_sounds began to go viral for making videos in which he accosted random people wearing interesting, beat-up, off-brand or ugly shoes on the street. He became known for his catchphrases, "Hold on brother, hold on," "Ohhh what the heellll," "Two things, brother, two things," "Let me pluck pluck pluck," "Let me rub" and "Let me catch my breath." He delivers these lines in a sing-song tone.

On November 15th, 2018, Slv_Soundss[2] posted his earliest known shoe reaction video to YouTube, gathering over 21,000 views in over four years (seen below, left). On April 3rd, 2019, the creator posted his first video to YouTube[3] together with over 200,000 views in over four years (seen below, right). The video is also the earliest known example to employ several of his aforementioned catchphrases.

Some of the creator's most viral YouTube[4] [5] videos were posted in 2020, with a February 1st, 2020 upload titled "10 dollar tip 🙏🏾📍😩😩," gathering over 1 million views in over two years (seen below, left). A February 7th, 2020 upload titled "Boneless shoes" gathered over 1.2 million views in over two years as well (seen below, right).

Various viral videos and trends where people sing-roast questionable shoe choices can be attributed to Slv_Soundss, including the In My Solitude TikTok trend. His voice singing, "Nah nah nah nah" can be heard in the Skyler White saying please TikTok trend as well.
