About

Undertime Slopper (@undertimeslopper) is a TikTok account that posts odd yet whimsical videos that use augmented reality (AR) software to spawn in 3D-scanned objects related to forests, trees and elves, among other fairy tale-esque signifiers. The videos also use text-to-speech voices to narrate. At the end of every video, a screen recording of a man (TikToker[8] @ketocountryboy) saying I Love Undertime Slopper transitions in. The person behind the Undertime Slopper account has prompted others to say the catchphrase to be used in their edits. The account has also inspired other accounts to add to its lore and aesthetics with many in the fandom referencing Albert's Forest.

Origin

The Undertime Slopper account went viral on January 25th, 2022, with a TikTok[1] that had text overlay reading, "Normalize 3d scanning stores so you can shop at home. Now I don't have to leave my house. GHT Sometimes god k"!!s people randomly. One time my nephew fell down the stairs and never woke up." The video showed a 3D-scanned liquor store made with AR software most likely from a mobile device. Over the course of ten months, the video received roughly 518,800 likes (shown below). It is the first, still accessible video on the account. Prior videos were most likely deleted after its virality.

Albert's Forest

Albert's Forest refers to the predominant setting within the Undertime Slopper lore. In the caption of most Undertime Slopper TikToks, the hashtag #albertsforest is present as the character often references the forest setting and meets other characters and creatures within it such as a talking frog and a "splendid resting cow." As Undertime Slopper grew a fandom on the app, other video creators referenced Albert's Forest and its supposed owner, Albert, in their own content going into early 2023. Albert's Forest was first mentioned in an Undertime Slopper video on November 3rd, 2022.[9]
