Stray Cat Feast or Stray Cats Eating Rotisserie Chicken is a TikTok LIVE stream hosted by TikToker @shwiiiiiiis in which stray cats are filmed eating a rotisserie chicken throughout the night on a street in Hawaii. The user began documenting themselves feeding the stray in August 2023 and continued over the following months, inspiring memes and reactions about the streams. The stream has also, at times, captured skunks eating the chicken alongside the cats.
History
On August 29th, 2023, TikToker[1][2] @shwiiiiiiis posted his first videos documenting himself feeding stray cats on a street in Hawaii, each video garnering around 1,500 views in six months (shown below).
The TikToker soon began filming the cats eating from the rotisserie chicken and broadcasting it on TikTok LIVE, also uploading timelapse and highlight videos of each night and memes about the cats to his page. On December 17th, 2023, the TikToker[3] posted a video that gained over 25,000 views in two months (shown below, left). On December 29th, he uploaded a meme to TikTok[4] that gained over 77,000 views in the same span of time (shown below, right).
On January 4th, 2024, the TikToker[5] uploaded a timelapse of day 96 that garnered over 1.2 million views in a month (shown below, left). This is the first of the TikToker's videos to gain over a million views. On February 2nd, the TikToker[6] uploaded a timelapse in which a raccoon approaches the chicken briefly, garnering over 300,000 views in 12 days (shown below, right).
On February 7th, the TikToker[7] uploaded a slideshow in which he shows several cats that are regularly attending the feast and assigns them names and personality traits, garnering over 1.3 million views in a week.

TikToker @shwiiiiiiis is known to post memes to his account in order to further advertise the cat feast live streams and interact with his community (examples shown below).
Online Presence
The stray cat feast streams became increasingly viral online throughout late 2023 and early 2024, inspiring posts across social media. On December 29th, 2023, X[8] user @TeahLhompson posted a screenshot of the live stream, writing, "saltburn? sorry can’t right now. busy watching stray cat feast day 91," garnering over 15,000 likes in two months (shown below).
On January 3rd, 2024, a now-deleted Redditor made a post to /r/KidsAreF---ingStupid[9] writing, "My daughter was watching a stray cat eating a rotisserie chicken on Tiktok for a while. The cat left 9 mins ago and she hasn't switched the video," garnering over 900 upvotes in a month.
