Overview
Mugshawtys is a gimmick account on Twitter and Instagram that shares mugshots of attractive woman convicts along with the crime or crimes that they were allegedly booked for committing. The account first started posting on Twitter in December 2017 and started posting on Instagram in 2019, gaining hundreds of thousands of followers on each by 2022.
History
Mugshawtys made their first post to Twitter[1] on December 23rd, 2017, garnering over 620 likes in five years. The account continued to post throughout 2018. Their most popular post of the year was posted to Twitter[2] on December 29th, 2018, garnering over 30,000 likes and 5,100 retweets in four years (shown below). On August 1st, 2019, Mugshawtys made their first post to Instagram,[3] garnering over 1,400 likes in three years.
On September 5th, 2020, @mugshatys made a post to Twitter[4] sharing a mugshot of a woman with a face tattoo allegedly arrested for homicide with a 3D printed gun, garnering over 25,000 likes and 2,300 retweets in two years (shown below).
The account had numerous posts in 2022 with tens of thousands of likes. On November 17th, 2022, the Twitter[5] account posted a mughost of a woman allegedly arrested with burglary, failure to appear, domestic violence, and possession of narcotics that garnered over 72,000 likes in a month (shown below, left). On November 26th, the account posted a mugshot to Twitter[6] of a woman allegedly arrested for assault, garnering over 62,000 likes in a similar span of time (shown below, right).

Mugshawtys is active on Twitter @mugshawtys, where they have over 438,000 followers. They are also active on Instagram under the same name, where they have over 238,000 followers.
Followers of the account often comment "I can fix her" under the posts in reference to the meme of the same name, suggesting they could turn the woman away from a life of crime if given the chance.
Reposts
Mugshawtys' posts are often reposted online, including in compilation videos and memes referencing them. For example, on February 10th, 2020, Instagram[7] page oldrowofficial reposted a meme from the page that garnered over 58,000 likes in two years. On July 30th, 2021, TikToker[8] @hotb1tchh posted a compilation of images taken from the account with their charges, garnering over 3.5 million views in a year (shown below).
