About
Should I Buy This on Thursday is an image macro series most often showing McDonald's burgers (or other menu items) with top text reading, "Should I buy this on Thursday." The meme series started on Instagram in early 2022, with the original iteration showing a quarter-pounder with cheese. The image gained eminence through reposts that surfaced before Thursdays on Twitter and elsewhere. Going into 2023, meme creators started to replace the food beneath the catchphrase, sometimes with other objects or animals.
