Shmeegus is a green, alien and childlike character created by TikToker @zlorgoverse. The character was first introduced in September 2025 via a series of cutesy videos in which Shmeegus and his cast of friends sing about their love for fun and candy. Shmeegus and his friends are depicted as multicoloured circular creatures with two feet, one eye, and one antenna.

Another alien character named Zlorgo is implied to play a parental or guardian role to the Shmeegus, taking them to the doctor and tucking them into bed in different videos. Shmeegus first went viral on TikTok after @zlorgoverse posted a song showing the group of aliens singing, "I am Shmeegus and I like fun," to the tune of "Jingle Bell Rock." The artwork may be inspired by the character Pim from Smiling Friends, while the names may have taken inspiration from Alienposting memes.

Origin

"Shmeegus" was first introduced by TikToker^[1] @zlorgoverse in a September 9th, 2025, video featuring a photo montage of differently colored alien creatures. The voice-over narrated, "One Shmeegus, two Shmeegus, three Shmeegus, four Shmeegus," and gathered over 65,000 views and 5,000 likes in three weeks.

A subsequent September 21st, 2025, upload featured a high-pitched song that went, "Five little Shmeegus jumping on the bed / One fell off and bumped his head / Zlorgo called the doctor and the doctor said / No more Shmeegus jumping on the bed." The video^[2] gathered over 490,000 views and 100,000 likes in a week.

However, the most viral Shmeegus video by the end of September 2025 was posted on September 22nd. The video^[3] featured a line-up of five multi-colored Shmeegus singing, "I am Shmeegus and I like fun / I have out with zlorgo and glongo a ton / I love candy and playtime too / If you want I'll be friends with you." The video gathered over 1 million plays and 200,000 likes, and inspired a number of fan videos and art in subsequent weeks.

On September 25th, 2025, TikToker^[4] @thonkugodbless posted a video captioned, "Making shmeegus real because I love them." The video showed the TikToker's process for creating a green Shmeegus toy from scratch, and gathered over 300,000 views and 70,000 likes in five days.

On September 27th, TikToker^[7] @k0nkcrete_ posted a video drawing several differently-colored Shmeegus, gathering over 200,000 plays and 40,000 likes in three days.

On September 28th, 2025, TikToker^[5] @zlorgoverse posted another Shmeegus video, this time showing the green and the yellow Shmeegus singing, "My name is Shmeegus and I like to eat / Nothing but the sweetest of the sweet sweet treats / With my belly full zlorgo tucks me into sleep / With the taste still on my tongue I'm sure to have great dreams." The TikTok received over 1 million views and 218,000 likes in two days.

Also on September 28th, TikToker^[6] @trashy0sc posted a version of the Shmeegus song depicting a red, angry and "evil" version of the creature that sings, "I'm evil shmeegus and I hate fun / I really hate zlorgo and glungo a ton." The video gathered over 50,000 views and 11,000 likes in two days.
