'She Watch Anime' TikTok Dance or 'Anime Lover' Dance refers to a TikTok dance trend set to ppcocaine's unreleased song "Anime Lover." The dance trend, which begins at the section of the song where ppcocaine sings, "What she watch? She watch anime, catch her heart like Kisame," became popularized on TikTok in January 2023.

Origin

On August 27th, 2021, TikToker^[1] @lansdelsrays posted a video of a man dancing to the unreleased ppcocaine song colloquially titled "Anime Lover," garnering over 180,000 views in two years. On January 13th, 2023, TikToker^[2] @trxe.tlou posted three videos of Michael from Grand Theft Auto V dancing to the song, the most popular videos garnering over 4.8 million and 2.5 million views respectively in three weeks (shown below, left and right).

On January 21st, TikToker^[3] @unhingedkeb posted a video where three women dance to the song, garnering over 1.6 million views in 10 days (shown below). This is one of the earliest videos of real people dancing to the trend that was uploaded in January 2023.
