The earliest known use of a screencapture of the scene was a March 20th, 2023 post by Twitter^[2] user @crazy__shikhu, which gathered over 300 likes in two weeks (seen below).

On March 21st, Twitter^[4] user @mrkaranarya posted the meme with a caption reading, "Me to my friends and relatives after earthquake" (seen below, right).
