Sexy Ice Cream Man refers to a viral TikTok video of the UK ice cream chain Pan-n-Ice co-founder, Rob Huysinga,^[2] preparing ice cream in a sultry manner.

Origin

On March 8th, 2019, Huysinga recorded a video dedicated to women on International Women's Day. The original video has been taken down by Huysinga but was tweeted numerous times. That day, Twitter user KenJac tweeted the video with the caption, "This man single handedly ended misogyny you're welcome ladies" (shown below).

Spread

Since taking down his International Women's Day video, his most popular videos to date have been uploaded to TikTok on February 25th, March 7th and March 12th with over 100,000 likes each (shown below). Each video features Huysinga preparing icecream.

On March 14th, Twitter user @sam_pIant^[3] posted a screenshot of a map with the caption, "I’VE FOUND THE ONE HE WORKS AT, IM COMING TO GET YOU SEXY ICE CREAM MAN" (shown below).

On March 17th, MetroUK^[1] published an interview with Huysinga. Huysinga's statement included: "The eccentric manner upon which I make the ice cream, right through to the introduction; the whole thing has been completely blown up and taken out of context. I would like to sincerely apologise to anyone who may have been offended by the video. Whilst I mention International Women’s Day, my intentions were purely to make the ice cream in a vibrant manner."

On March 17th, many Twitter users began sharing a video of Huysinga visiting a children's hospital. @Tariq_J99 shared it with the caption, "Once a month the Pan Ice guy visits children's hospitals, what a guy" (shown below).
