SCP: Wish I Knew refers to a parody SCP Foundation cryptid of a seemingly AI-generated Black man with large glowing eyes in front of a black background lip dubbing a song that repeats, "Ooh, wish I knew." Originally shared on TikTok by user @zacharyaghaizu in early December 2025, SCP Wish I Knew spread as an exploitable video element in video caption memes. @zacharyaghaizu also created the "Ooh Wish I Knew" song, which was the intro to his album So Chopped.

On December 6th, 2025, TikToker^[1] @zacharyaghaizu shared a seemingly AI-generated video of a Black male face with large glowing eyes singing a song that repeated, "Ooh, wish I knew." Over nine days, the video received over 296,100 likes.

@zacharyaghaizu also shared the video on Instagram,^[6] gaining over 4,300 likes over the same timeframe.

Spread

On December 8th, 2025, TikToker^[2] @g_73805 posted a video caption meme using the abovementioned clip, including a slang overload caption, reading, "When I ask for 20 dollars from my [homeboy] for 67 times but this time he punches me so I genuinely enter flow state and become SCP: Wish I Knew." Over one week, the video gained over 136,900 likes.

Also on December 8th, TikToker^[3] @ethan.yttk shared a video edit that remixed the original SCP: Wish I Knew clip. Over one week, it gained over 112,300 likes.

On December 12th, 2025, TikToker^[4] @glepgeraldo shared a video caption meme using a sped-up version of the SCP: Wish I Knew clip, reading, "When you lowkey staring at ur [homboy's] bunz but then the teacher catches you and sends you to the principal so he turns u into SCP Wish I Knew." The idea of being turned into the cryptid was reminiscent of the Khaby Lame Mechanism memes. Over three days, the video gained over 47,200 likes.

On December 14th, TikToker^[5] @random120292 posted a video, showing SCP: Wish I Knew walking down a street and an image of streamer IShowSpeed looking terrified, commonly used in degloving memes, hiding behind a tree. The video gained over 93,200 likes in a day.
