Scared Leni Loud is a reaction image macro and remix series of the character Leni Loud screaming after encountering a spider. The image and clip has been used online to express fear or disgust as well as in remixes, altering what scares Leni.

Origin

On May 4th, 2016, the episode "Along Came a Sister" of the American animated series The Loud House aired in the United States.^[1] In the episode, the character Leni Loud (voiced by Liliana Mumy) sees a spider and jumps and screams (shown below).

Spread

Several months later, on July 30th, YouTuber Joshua Reed remixed the scene, replacing the shot of the animated spider with a real spider. The post received more than 45,000 views (shown below, left).

On November 3rd, DeviantArt^[2] user Wildcat1999 posted the image of Leni screaming with an image of Lord Dregg from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The post received more than 2,100 views in less than two years (shown below, right).

That day, others began posting variations of the meme. Additionally, Wildcat1999 posted a template of the meme (shown below). The post received more than6,200 views in less than two years (shown below).^[3]
