About

Salamanca Sliders or Tuco "GET OUT" Scream refers to a viral TikTok sound that resembles the voice of the Breaking Bad series character Tuco Salamanca (played by actor Raymond Cruz) loudly screaming "get out." The sound effect first appeared on iFunny in May 2023 but was popularized in April 2024 on TikTok, frequently being used in ironic memes as a gimmick for abruptly cut-off videos with the scream.

Origin

The earliest mention of Tuco's "Get Out" scream was posted on May 10th, 2023, on iFunny[1] by user flyingmantis, who shared a gameplay video of Grand Theft Auto 5, captioning it, "GET OUT. Bro sounded like TUCO from Breaking Bad." The post received more than 6,300 likes and 176 comments in a year. The same video was reposted on TikTok by @ish0w_mcl0vin[2] (seen below), amassing over 392,000 plays and 59,000 likes in a year.

Spread

Tuco's "Get Out" scream was then popularized on TikTok after user @notkchaze[3] started to use the sound in abruptly cut-off videos, like the one posted on March 15th, 2024, captioned, "Why Is Tuco working at McDonald's," which amassed over 3 million plays and 479,000 likes four months (seen below, left).

On April 7th, 2024, @notkchaze[4] posted a similar comedy skit video captioned, "Salamanca sliders sold out" (seen below, right), which features the same cut-off scream, amassing more than 4 million plays and 451,000 likes in three months.
