Origin

Prior to the popularity of the slang term "rizz," the word "rizzler" was a weed slang term for a joint rolled with Rizla brand papers, evident in tweets.[1] "Rizzler" was also a nickname for professional Pakistani cricket player Mohammad Rizwan, evident in tweets.[2]

The usage of "rizzler" as a rizz nickname surfaced sometime in mid-2022. The original creator of the term is unknown. Currently, the first discovered utterance of the term was a tweet posted by X[3] user @jozzizys on June 4th, 2022, who wrote "she took me to gotham to meet the rizzler," gaining three likes in one year (shown below). Soon after, in June 2022, similar uses of the term surfaced on X,[4] likely coinciding with the rise in "rizz" as a slang term and the release of the 2022 Batman film featuring Paul Dano as the Riddler.

On October 31st, Twitch streamer Dantes posted a picture of him to X[6] as "the Rizzler" for a Halloween stream, gaining roughly 3,900 likes in a year (shown below, right).

Despite all of the aforementioned usage, the term "rizzler" gained the majority of its eminence due to the Lightskin Stare and Zoolander Stare memes which surfaced in November 2022.

For instance, on November 26th, 2022, TikToker[7] @junglefury_redranger posted a Lightsin Stare meme with the song "Sin City" and scenes from Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, gaining roughly 227,500 plays and 18,800 likes in 11 months (shown below, left).
