The trend started with a quote retweet on Twitter in January 2023 that captioned photos of K-pop star Choi Yeonjun.

Origin

On January 4th, 2023, Twitter^[1] user thvstreets quote retweeted a tweet that showed two photos of TXT member Choi Yeonjun before and after puberty. Twitter user thvstreets displayed skepticism by captioning the tweet, "rhinoplasty, lip filler, cheek implants, chin implant, jaw shave, brow bone reduction, buccal fat removal, botox and eye lift," and gaining roughly 2,800 likes in 13 days (shown below).

Spread

On January 9th, 2023, Twitter^[2] user NATEJEANS_ posted variant usage of the catchphrase, quote retweeting two photos of Puss in Boots and earning roughly 1,400 likes in eight days (shown below, left). Later on January 9th, Twitter^[3] user DIGIT4L4NGL posted a more viral QT that captioned two images of Bad Bunny, gaining roughly 42,000 likes in eight days (shown below, right).

The caption continued to surface in viral tweets going into January 2023. For instance, on January 15th, 2023, Twitter^[4] user MediumSizeMeech tweeted two photos of Beyoncé with the caption, gaining roughly 87,400 likes in two days (shown below).
