Red Dead Redemption 2 Kid Kicking is a viral video of modded Red Dead Redemption 2 gameplay in which the Dutch Van der Linde gang is beating up the child character Jack Marston, kicking him down and stomping on him. Posted in December 2023, the clip has since achieved virality as a caption format in memes.

Origin

On December 13th, 2023, X^[1] / Twitter user @GTASixInfo posted a clip of modded Red Dead Redemption 2 gameplay in which the protagonist Arthur Morgan, together with several members of the Dutch Van der Linde gang, are beating up the child character Jack Marston. The clip, captioned "I wonder if GTA 6 will be the first gta to have interactable npc children. Would it be too controversial?", garnered over 520 reposts, 5,200 likes and 701,000 views in seven months (shown below). The exact origin of the gameplay clip is currently unconfirmed.

Spread

On December 16th, 2023, the X^[2] account @Shitpost_OOC posted the clip with the caption, "Kid: 'Skibi…'", which made fun of the Skibidi Toilet meme's popularity and Slang Overload. The post (shown below) received over 7,300 reposts and 51,000 likes in seven months. A December 17th, repost of the caption meme in the /r/dankmemes^[3] subreddit gained an additional 6,700 upvotes in the same period.

On December 28th, 2023, the X^[4] account @GTAVInews posted the video with the caption, "Why Rockstar won't add kids to GTA 6." The post (shown below) received over 1,600 reposts and 19,000 likes in seven months.

In 2023 and 2024, the clip was used as a video caption format in numerous memes, primarily on X / Twitter, most notably by sports fans.
