Rakai Saying, "You Good Mud?" refers to memes and jokes inspired by Twitch streamer and friend of Kai Cenat, Rakai, asking his cameraman, "You good mud?" during a July 2025 stream. The term "mud" or "muddy" is New York City slang for friend, and is used similarly to blud.

In the extended clip, the young Twitch streamer dressed in a black blazer and bicycle helmet recounts how he was ambushed by 10 security guards with paintball guns who attacked him and his cameraman, stating, "They got ten security guards for me? […] I'm petite, I'm small, gang. […] They got 10 security guards at the gate, for meee. And then they got […] in the walls with paintball guns, and they just shot my cameraman." The clip inspired memes and remixes on TikTok soon after it began making the rounds in early July 2025.

Origin

"Mud" or "muddy" are slang terms for "friend" or "buddy" that originated from New York City. References to the words can be found in a March 10th, 2021, Urban Dictionary^[1] post by Mr50aneigth, who defined "My muddy" as "Nyc slang for my friend or my day one of my nigga."

A February 12th, 2024, post by Redditor u/xabc3147 also attributed the slang term "mud" to New York City on the subreddit /r/NYStateOfMind.^[2]

On July 7th, 2025, Twitch^[3] streamer Rakai livestreamed himself trying to get into Kai Cenat's AMP house, only to find himself blocked off by security guards who began shooting at him with paintball guns. Rakai then sat in his car and recounted the experience, at one point saying, "They just shot my cameraman… You good mud?"

AMP member and YouTuber^[4] Fanum reposted a clip of him reacting to Rakai's stream on July 7th, gathering over 700,000 views in a day. The clip of Rakai asking, "You good mud?" and his cameraman replying, "No," can be found at the 12:43 timestamp.

There's no way in hell I could get into the AMP house, they got ten security guards for me, that shows how p**sy these ni**as are […] I'm small, gang, I'm young as sh*t, they got ten security guards at the gate, for me! And they got ni**as in the woods with paintball guns, they shot my cameraman! You good mud?"

On July 8th, 2025, TikToker^[5] @blackboivonte reposted the clip to TikTok, gathering over 3.5 million plays and 500,000 likes in two days.

Also on July 8th, X^[6] user @scubaryan_ posted a clip of Fanum and Kai reacting to Rakai's "You good mud?" line, gathering over 2.6 million views and 50,000 likes in two days.

On July 9th, 2025, TikToker^[7] @inajclips posted a video clipping together the video of Rakai asking "You good mud?" and a photo of Rakai's room stripped to the rafters. The post gathered over 4 million plays and 700,000 likes in a day.

That same day, TikTok^[8] user @jepaloon posted a meme edit of Rakai's "You good mud?" clip, adding Vine Thuds and a photo of Rakai inserted into the Thousand Yard Stare meme. The post gathered over 500,000 plays and 100,000 likes in a day.

Also on July 9th, 2025, TikToker^[9] @zclippedu posted a meme edit slowing down Rakai's lines in a post that gathered over 1 million plays and 270,000 likes in a day.

Later that day, TikToker^[10] @reqdeca posted an AI-generated cartoon recreating Rakai's "You good mud?" line, gathering over 3 million plays and 580,000 likes in a day.
