Rakai Dancing, also known as the Rakai Dance, refers to a viral video of YouTuber and Twitch streamer Rakai (2xRaKai) dancing in a recording studio. Rakai is seen wearing white headphones, a pink dress shirt, a grey vest and a four-leaf clover chain. The video of Rakai dancing became a reaction video and GIF in mid-October 2025. Spreading on Twitter / X and TikTok, the clip was used to embody joviality when paired with captions about being happy or fulfilled. The original clip came from a PlaqueBoyMax stream, featuring rapper BunnaB, who's seen in the studio with Rakai in the original video.

Origin

On October 11th, 2025, Rakai shared a full-length livestream to his YouTube^[1] channel, Rakai Live, featuring fellow streamer PlaqueBoyMax and rapper BunnaB. In the stream, Rakai and BunnaB were in a recording studio with PlaqueBoyMax mixing and making beats. The video received over 196,500 views and 4,500 likes in nine days.

At the stream's 1:35-minute mark, Rakai and BunnaB are seen in the studio recording the first song. Rakai is seen dancing in front of the microphone, wearing white headphones, a pink dress shirt, a grey vest and a four-leaf clover chain. His dance involved swaying side to side, keeping his arms extended and rotating his closed fists.

On October 13th, 2025, X^[6] user @hoeWtfUSaid shared a cropped version of the Rakai Dancing clip, captioning it, "Me as a once lowkey enjoying the dudpink draggings," gaining over 1,000 likes in a week.

On October 15th, TikToker^[2] @user14372148951 also shared a cropped version of the Rakai Dancing clip, gaining over 2.3 million likes in five days.

Also on October 15th, 2025, X^[5] user @FearedBuck posted the original Rakai Dancing clip, gaining over 34,000 likes in five days.

On October 16th, TikToker^[3] @user5945852657634 used the TikTok sound^[4] created by @user14372148951, showing a recording of a text message conversation in which one subject sent the Rakai Dancing clip as a response to hurtful messages. Over four days, the video received roughly 495,700 likes.

In the following days, the clip gained more memetic use on both X and TikTok, often in the form of video and GIF caption memes or Accuracy Reenactments.

For instance, on October 16th, 2025, X^[7] user @cryst6ls shared the video, adding the caption, "Opened 2 gifts today and they were my eyes. Good morning." The tweet received over 192,000 likes in four days.

On October 17th, X^[8] user @bonafidelezbo tweeted, "School refund just hit," attaching the video as the media. Over three days, it gained roughly 13,000 likes.

On October 16th, 2025, X^[9] user @lawdprettyflako tweeted a GIF version of the video, creating a GIF Caption meme in tweet form, reading, "How it feels smoking after not smoking all day." Over four days, it gained roughly 7,200 likes.

By October 20th, 2025, the original video's most used TikTok sound^[4] had amassed over 17,700 posts.
