Quoge is another character in the Dogelore universe that's depicted as a copy of the titular Doge character but photoshopped with his ears removed and to appear low resolution and squished. As with other Dogelore characters, Quoge has a signature trait, which revolves around violent tendencies, and his associated catchphrase is "It's Quoge babey." Many posts that have Quoge featured in them have violence as a central theme, something not often seen in other Dogelore iterations like Swole Doge and Trapped Doge.

Origin

The earliest record of the Quoge character comes from a post submitted on March 29th, 2021, by Redditor Florina_Best_Girl to the /r/dogelore[1] subreddit. The post, which introduced the character to the universe, received 6,700 upvotes and 66 comments in two weeks (shown below).

In the following days, many posts were made on /r/dogelore about Quoge, often citing him as some sort of offensive threat, often seen yelling “Hit The Quoge,” an homage to "Hit The Quan," as seen in the Reddit[4] post by Indetno on March 29th, 2021, that received 2,766 upvotes and 36 comments in two weeks (shown below).

On March 31st, 2021, Twitter[2] user @rDogeLore tweeted a photo made by u/YouTubePoopPoster claiming it to be Quoge’s “oringins” (shown below, left). Later that day, Twitter[3] user @8legged00F then tweeted “Meet Quoge” with a picture of the character, the first time it had been seen on Twitter and spread outside the subreddit (shown below, right).
