Pull Off Your Skin is a catchphrase used in a February 2022 viral video by TikToker Lukeydumper as part of a macro trend within schizoposting. The phrase, which encourages you to pull your skin off, is often attributed to the character Lightning McQueen, among others.
Origin
On February 11th, 2022, TikToker LukeyDumper[1] uploaded a video of himself saying the phrase to his account. The TikTok went on to get over 980,000 likes in five months (shown below).
I don't like the way my skin feels on my body. Do you like the way your skin feels on your body? You don't? Why don't you pull it off? Pull off your skin. I bet it'll feel good.
Spread
On March 25th, 2022, the TikTok account ArbysMeatMonster uploaded a video of the audio being used with an image of Lightning McQueen, making him the one to be saying the phrase to you. This version of the audio helped spread the phrase and trend while gaining over 4,000 likes on the account in five months, which later changed its name to Nine-Up[2] (shown below).
On April 11th, 2022, the TikTok account HarveyDenturesAdventures[3] (in which videos featuring the puppet Harvey are uploaded) created a video using the audio sound on the platform to create a creepy vibe, earning 40,000 likes in four months in the process (shown below).
