Prince of Whales is a typo Donald Trump made in a tweet referring to the Prince of Wales causing Twitter to react with photoshops of whales.
Origin
On June 13th, 2019, Donald Trump[1][2] tweeted, "I meet and talk to 'foreign governments' every day. I just met with the Queen of England (U.K.), the Prince of Whales, the P.M. of the United Kingdom, the P.M. of Ireland, the President of France and the President of Poland. We talked about "Everything!" Should I immediately… " (shown below, left). He then continued his thought in the next tweet (shown below, right). The tweet has since been edited and received over 96,100 likes and 20,200 retweets in a day.
Spread
On June 13th, 2019, Dictionary.com[3] Tweeted the definition of Wales and said, "Wales is a division of the United Kingdom. Whales are not." (shown below, left). The tweet gained over 530 likes and 120 retweets in a day. After the tweet was edited Twitter user @miainbatcountry[4] responded by tweeting a picture of Trump standing next to a whale with a crown on captioned "#NeverForget (shown below, right). The tweet gained over 760 likes and 80 retweets in a day.
