pooterj40@hotmail.com, also known as Pooterj40, is an exploitable character prevalent on TikTok whose persona started on the page @pooterj40official after a screenshot of a Spotify profile was posted in a photo slideshow in August 2023. The image of pooterj40@hotmail.com is a moldy photo of Jeffy the hand puppet from the YouTube channel SML. A majority of the @pooterj40official slideshows used a version of the Negawatt meme as the TikTok sound.

Origin

On August 2nd, 2023, TikToker^[1] @pooterj40official posted a photo slideshow that started with a low-quality screenshot of a Spotify^[2] profile named pooterj40@hotmail.com (shown below, top left). The profile's picture was a low-quality image of Jeffy the hand puppet from the SML YouTube^[3] channel, taken from a currently unknown episode that featured the red couch setting. The slideshow included multiple memes in which the image was inserted (shown below). The sound for the slideshow was a version of the Negawatt meme. Over the course of two weeks, the photos gained roughly 51,100 plays and 5,700 likes.

Spread

Going into August 2023, TikToker @pooterj40official posted more photo slideshows with Pooterj40 memes, such as one slideshow posted to TikTok^[4] on August 3rd, 2023, that gained roughly 17,300 likes in 13 days. Its primary photo used the Look at My Lawyer, Dawg, I'm Going to Jail template (shown below, left).

Other accounts also started to post Pooterj40 slideshows, such as TikToker^[5] @notbixzz on August 3rd, who received roughly 296,200 plays and 51,000 likes in 13 days. Their primary photo was an iMessage screenshot reading "I want a divorce" (shown below, right).

Other than slideshows, videos featuring Pooterj40 started to appear on the app, such as one posted by TikToker^[6] @pooterj40official on August 3rd, gaining roughly 49,200 plays and 1,900 likes in 13 days (shown below). On August 12th, 2023, TikToker^[7] @leaf.ultra reposted the aforementioned video, gaining roughly 343,800 plays and 12,500 likes in four days.
