Pokemon Profile Pic December

On Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at 12:00am Pokemon profile picture month officially started on Facebook. Created by Elliot Chaltry & David Benjamin Schlager and started by Kelson Thomas, the event caught on quickly and had more then 121,763 confirmed guests. Some people had no idea what was going on and posted questions on who was attending on IGN boards and Serebii forums. Eventually some, without attending, still changed their profile pics, having more then the listed attendees, there were even more events of the same idea created by other users. As you can see in this chart the search for Pokemon picture dramatically increased in late 2009.
