Planet Sheen Posting refers to ironic memes in which people profess their love and admiration for the discontinued Nickelodeon CGI-animated television show Planet Sheen, which is a spin-off of the TV series The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius. Jokes made by the Planet Sheen fandom were particularly common on iFunny and Reddit in the early 2020s.

Origin

Planet Sheen first aired on Nickelodeon on October 2, 2010, and finished in February 2013 (opening theme song for the show seen below).^[1]

The earliest known meme about ironically liking Planet Sheen was posted to Reddit's^[2] /r/dankmemes on October 7th, 2017, by /u/DatPro1102, where it gathered 87 upvotes in six years (seen below).

On July 29th, 2019, an unknown Redditor^[3] posted a Planet Sheen meme on the /r/okbuddyretard subreddit, gathering over 1,000 upvotes in four years (seen below, left). On July 2nd, 2021, Redditor^[4] /u/swaxeberserker96 posted a meme about Planet Sheen that gathered over 7,000 likes in three years (seen below, right).

A September 6th, 2023, A Good Book Can Change Your Life meme^[5] by iFunny user FutureWario gathered over 4,000 smiles in five months (seen below, left), while a December 16th post^[6] by iFunny user TheDarkKnightTriumphant gathered over 3,000 smiles in two months (seen below, right).
