PewDiePie Has No Legs refers to a humorous fan theory speculating that YouTuber Felix "PewDiePie" Kjellberg has no legs. Started by PewDiePie himself in November 2018, the theory has been widely circulated by fans in various jokes about the YouTuber.

Origin

On November 21st, 2018, PewDiePie^[1] posted a video titled "The last hope for my channel… LWIAY – #0056". In the video, he reviewed several PewDiePie Shopping memes, claiming that they were photoshopped because "he has no legs".

Spread

On November 22nd, Redditor^[2] dickslappernohomo posted a PewDiePie Shopping meme in which PewDiePie's legs were swapped with the shopping cart wheels. The post gained over 20,700 upvotes in two months, with multiple comments referring to the quote from the video. On the same day, Redditor^[3] LukeTheGeek used the quote in another post, which gained over 15,100 upvotes in two months.

In the following months, humorous theory inspired more posts in which users either proved^[4] or disproved^[5] it, primarily on /r/Pewdiepiesubmissions subreddit.
