PepeWTF, also known as Limmy Pepe, refers to a custom FrankerFaceZ Twitch emote that combines Pepe the Frog with the facial expression of discomfort that the Scottish comedian Limmy makes in his iconic sketch Steel Is Heavier than Feathers.

Origin

On April 13th, 2019, Twitch and FrankerFaceZ user dakoterz submitted[1] a custom emote called PepeWTF (shown below, left and center) which placed the expression made by the Scottish comedian Limmy in his sketch Steel Is Heavier Than Feathers onto the Peepo template (still image shown below, right).

Spread

In the following year, the emote gained a notable spread on Twitch, with over 370 streamers using the emote as of October 30th, 2020.

In addition to Twitch, the emote saw spread on Discord[2] and has been used as a reaction image on Twitter,[3] Reddit,[4] 4chan, and other websites. For example, on July 15th, 2019, Redditor[5] Habbob posted a Valve Can't Count to Three meme that received over 61,600 upvotes on the subreddit /r/me_irl (shown below).
