Tophiachu is a TikToker and lolcow who grew a viewer base by going on TikTok live and posting rants on random topics. The circumstances of Tophia's life and family, as made apparent by her TikTok lives and videos, have garnered controversy and concern for her well-being. In January 2023, Tophiachu became a topic of discussion after she and her family were reportedly evicted from their home. Many followers blamed her and her father, known as Papachu or by his Twitter handle @EzekiahMordecai, for the eviction.

Origin

Tophia is a TikToker whose online presence is primarily on TikTok Live. Tophia, known as Tophiachu by her followers, lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico with her father and mother, who are referred to as Papachu and Mamachu by her followers. Tophia is known for being a BTS fan with BTS member Jungkook as her bias. Her self-professed affection for Asian men in general, and BTS in particular, made her a popular topic of ridicule from K-Pop fans on TikTok.

Tophia began posting on TikTok in 2020 and going on TikTok Live almost daily that same year. Some of her earliest accessible videos are POV videos where she plays a character known as "the boss's daughter." On October 27th, 2020, Tophia posted one such video to her TikTok^[1] account @tophiachu, gathering over 1.2 million plays and 250,000 likes in three years (seen below, left). On December 16th, 2020, she posted another video^[2] as the same character, gathering over 200,000 plays and 50,000 likes in three years (seen below, right).

On January 28th, 2023, YouTuber^[10] Papa Gut posted a video titled "Who Is Tophiachu? TikTok Lolcow," gathering over 29,000 plays and 700 likes in four months (seen below, left). On March 8th, 2023, YouTuber^[11] AutoOtto posted a video titled, "Who is Tophiachu? – An introduction video to Tophia, The problematic Tiktok Streamer," gathering over 17,000 likes in a month (seen below, right).

Tophiachu and Asian Men

Tophia often posts videos duetting Asian men on TikTok. On May 25th, 2021, @tophiachu^[3] posted a video with the caption, "#pov my future bf makes me breakfast while I sleep 💕," gathering over 1.8 million plays and 275,000 likes in two years (seen below, left). On February 10th, 2022, she posted a video^[4] captioned, "first time saying it to each other," gathering over 2.3 million plays and 260,000 likes in a year (seen below, right).

On January 24th, 2023, TikToker^[5] @shartride posted a recording of a TikTok Live where a group of TikTokers speak with Tophia and record a search term for explicit content that reads, "teen asian." The video gathered over 600,000 plays and 30,000 likes in five months (seen below, left). On April 16th, 2023, TikToker^[6] @tophiasvitamingummy posted a video titled, "leave these asian boys ALONE," gathering over 1 million plays and 120,000 likes in two weeks (seen below, right).

Papachu

Tophia's father, known by her followers as "Papachu," is known for his sexually suggestive behavior on TikTok Live and for being a sincere unironic schizoposter. His followers often reference his Twitter^[9] page @EzekiahMordecai, where he often shares strange and explicit content (profile seen below).

On December 22nd, 2022, TikToker^[7] @meefchu posted a screen recording of a Papachu TikTok Live, gathering over 1.1 million plays and 78,000 likes in six months (seen below, left). On December 18th, 2022, TikToker^[8] @deadtamagotchi posted a video of Papachu acting strange on Live, titled, "Papachu caught making out with us again," gathering over 400,000 plays and 20,000 likes in six months (seen below, right).
